Through the Bible les Feldick

This Bible study is based on the book Through the Bible by Dr. J. Vernon McGee, with my personal commentary added. While Dr. McGee supplemented the text with photographs and illustrations, I’ve chosen to use original clipart created by me in Photoshop over photographs to maintain consistency. All of the quotes were transcribed verbatim from early editions of this book which are now out of print. The earlier editions contain a few more typographical errors than later editions due to the lack of copyedit or spell-check (and probably a lot of typos that were never corrected).

Bible content ranges from beginning to end. Our daily Bible les Feldick takes the reader through the Bible in an easy, step-by-step format. A light is turned on by each reading. By seeing this light, we can make another right decision and come into more understanding of how to apply the truths of God’s Word in our own life. The days of your reading will be broken down into three readings per day: Old Testament, New Testament and Psalms and Proverbs. This post talked about; Les Feldick Podcast, What Bible does Les Feldick use.

Through the Bible les Feldick

There are many ways to read the Bible. You can just read it like any other book, but this is not how God intended for you to read His Word. The Bible is the living Word of God, and when you read it in this way, you will be able to understand what He is saying to you and what He wants for your life.

God gave us His word for a reason: so that we could know Him and learn how He wants us to live on earth. When we study the Bible, we are learning from Him, which gives us wisdom and direction in our lives. We can trust that what He says is true because He is the author of truth (John 14:6).

“Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” – II Timothy, Chapter 2, Verse 15

Les Feldick is an Oklahoma rancher and has enjoyed that lifestyle for many years.

Les and his wife, Iris, have been married since 1953. They have three children, nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

What Les really likes is teaching the Bible. He has been teaching home-style Bible classes for over 40 years. His teaching is non-denominational, and his students come from diverse denominations and backgrounds. It was through one of these classes that a student helped open the door for his “Through the Bible” television program.

Les has never had any formal Bible training. It was through the Holy Spirit that he was able to teach night after night for many years, never using lesson plans or notes, and seemingly, never growing tired.

Les starts his classes in Genesis 1:1 and works all the way through the Bible. All the Scriptures quoted are referenced from the King James Version. Les comments that “Once a class has been ‘Through the Bible’ with me, we generally start over and do it again.”

What Bible does Les Feldick use

The Bible is the most popular book in the world, but it’s also one of the most controversial. The Bible has been translated into 2,000 languages and dialects, and there are more than 30,000 different editions.

If you’re looking for a modern-day example of how translations can vary widely from each other, consider this: there are more than 20 different translations of the New Testament alone.

Les Feldick is a senior pastor at Faith Bible Church in Wichita, Kansas. He has been on staff at Faith Bible since 1987, and has been the senior pastor since 1996.

Les Feldick uses the New King James Version of the Bible. The NKJV was published in 1982 (by Thomas Nelson) as an attempt to update the King James Version of 1611. The NKJV is sometimes called “the new KJV.”

The short answer is that he uses whatever edition he has at home. But when you’re a pastor who travels so much and speaks at so many churches and conferences, it’s difficult to keep up with all your Bibles. That’s why Feldick keeps a few different versions on hand at any given time.
