Dear God,
I come before you today to ask for forgiveness for my sins. I have committed adultery and broken the sacred vows of marriage. I have betrayed my husband’s trust and made him feel like a fool. I am so sorry for this, Lord. Please give me the strength to make things right with him, so that we can be together once again as man and wife in your eyes.
Prayer asking for Forgiveness
Dear Lord, I’m sorry for the things that I’ve done wrong. Please forgive me of my sins and help me to learn from my mistakes. I know that you have forgiven me, but I still feel the pain from my sins. Please help me to forgive myself so that I can be free from the guilt and shame that haunt me. Teach me to live a life of gratitude so that I can be happy with what you have given me. In Jesus name, Amen
Dear God,
I ask for your forgiveness for the sins I have committed. I have sinned against you and against my neighbor. I have lied and stolen, gossiped and cheated, envied and hated, been angry with others and even despised them. I have not loved enough or forgiven those who have hurt me.
I know that my sins separate me from you and keep me from knowing the fullness of your love for me. Even though I cannot undo the wrongs I’ve done, please help me to forgive myself and to be forgiven by others. Help me to live as if each day were my last so that I might love more deeply, trust more fully and forgive freely. Amen
I know that it is not enough to just say that I’m sorry. The only thing that will truly heal this breach is genuine repentance, which means turning away from sin and turning toward you instead. Please help me to do this, Lord; show me what you want me to do next!
In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.”
Dear God,
I have sinned. I have committed adultery. I know that this is a grave sin and that it has consequences for me and my family, but I would like to ask you for forgiveness anyway. Please help me to find peace in my heart again so that I may once again be able to live with integrity and honor.
I want to be able to return to my wife and children without fear of doing further harm, but also without feeling shame or guilt. Please help me bring healing to those whom I have hurt by my actions, as well as myself.
Thank you for hearing my prayer, God. In your name, Amen
