Religion is considered one of the most important and most powerful institutions in Nigeria. The number of Nigerian Christian worshippers has been increasing steadily over the years. In 2015, the Church had an attendance of 12 million members and with a difficult working environment and large congregations, it was clear that their current auditorium could not accommodate all church members during church services.
RCCG 12 Million Capacity Auditorium is a place for all who seek to experience the power of God. This capacity auditorium will be used for the purpose of worship, praise and thanksgiving.
The auditorium is located at Redemption Camp, Lagos State Nigeria.
The RCCG 12 Million Capacity Auditorium has a seating capacity of 26,000 persons and standing capacity of over 40,000 persons. It was commissioned on the 15th December 2010 by Pastor Enoch Adeboye.
RCCG celebrates the completion of their brand new headquarters auditorium, with room for over a million people. It is hoped that this act will significantly increase the church’s membership.
The auditorium was made possible by the combined efforts of a host of individuals, churches and institutions from Nigeria and abroad.

The RCCG 12 Million Capacity Auditorium is a facility that has been designed to provide the much-needed ministry space for the Church of Christ, Gold Coast. It is located in the heart of the Gold Coast, Australia and has a seating capacity of 12 million people.
The much talked about Redeemed Church’s three kilometre-by-three kilometre Arena, still under construction, located on Simawa Road, some distance from the outgoing one and half kilometre by one kilometre arena, will be in use for its 63rd annual convention slated to hold between 3 and 9 August. The Redeemed Christian Church of God confirmed the auditorium is expected to host 12 million persons. Head of Media and Public Relations, RCCG, Pastor Segun Adegbiji, was reported by therainbowonline.net as telling journalists at the redemption Camp that the new arena would host plenary sessions of a few evenings of the week long programme on an experimental basis. He was supported during the briefing by several other ministers of the mission.According to Pastor Adegbiji adequate arrangements have been put in place to host participants from the 24 regions of the church spread across 188 countries of the world.He quoted the General Overseer of the church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, as warning unserious persons to stay away from this year’s convention, which has a theme “The All Sufficient God”.
Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the General Overseer said he has turned a beggar to persuade members to donate towards the completion of the 12 million seater new auditorium of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, at its camp in Ogun state, western Nigeria
The church had planned to move to the new auditorium this month, but members were surprised that the monthly vigil held at the old auditorium.
Adeboye explained that most of the people who pledged to donate money towards the completion of the project, are yet to redeem their pledges, because of the economic downturn in the country.
“For the first time, in my life, I became ‘fine bara'(a beggar), by telling people to give offering and donate to the auditorium online”, he told the congregation at the end of the Holy Ghost Service, early today.
He therefore urged members to donate to the auditorium project, even as little as N1000, so that the auditorium could be ready in December for the yearly congress.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff, Major General Gabriel Olonisakin, Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, were among the dignitaries at the church’s 63rd convention.
Meanwhile, the number of children born at the convention has risen to 81, with 41 of them being boys.
Conclusion
The auditorium is 12,000 square metre in size. Total seating capacity of the auditorium stands at 41,000 people. People can park within a 3 kilometre radius while there would be a safe parking space for 2000 cars outside the auditorium. There will be 5 level car parks to accommodate 2000 cars. There will be 83 entrances as well as 7 escalators and 6 lifts for easy access into the centre. It will offer free wi-fi services across the whole huge facility it will have control centre with an alert system in case of emergencies.
