The service begins with the Offertory Anthem. This is followed by a hymn and prayer, after which the bread and wine are brought forward to be consecrated. This is done in silence, as it is important to remember that the Eucharist is not really about us but about Christ’s sacrifice for us.
The bread and wine become the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ through the priest’s prayer and blessing. The congregation then sings ‘Holy, Holy, Holy’ as they receive Communion. They also sing a hymn after receiving Communion (often ‘Worthy Is The Lamb’).
The Benediction follows this, during which we pray for God to continue to bless us with His grace.
RCCG Holy Communion Service is one of the most important service of the church, as it is only during this service that we are allowed to ‘come closer’ to God through the Lord Jesus Christ.
First and foremost, you’ve got to get Holy Communion. After that, you’re expected to actively engage in the service. Here are some things you should know about RCCG holy communion.
RCCG Holy Communion Service
The RCCG Holy Communion service is a ritual that commemorates the Last Supper of Jesus Christ with his disciples. The ritual has been practiced by the church since its inception in 1914, and it is still being practiced today. The service is usually held on Sunday evenings or Holy Days (when the Christian calendar celebrates events in Jesus’ life).
Although the RCCG Holy Communion Service is not as popular as it once was, it still holds a special place in the hearts of those who practice it and those who have participated in it before.
Our Communion services are a celebration of the love of God. You will hear the gospel message and participate in the breaking of bread.
God’s promise to us is that through Jesus, we can have abundant life. This promise is fulfilled when we abide in Christ, keep His commandments and obey Him.
