Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church–for we are members of his body. “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” This is a profound mystery–but I am talking about Christ and the church. However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

Is this not what you want? Is it not what you have been praying for all along? Do you want your marriage to be perfect in every way? Then it all depends on you. You must do your part first before asking God to do His part. If you don’t do your duty as a husband then how will God fulfill His promise?
Bible verses about husbands duties
“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her; that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless.”—Ephesians 5:25-27
The Bible is full of verses that tell men how to treat their wives. Here are some of the most important:
- “Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.” (Colossians 3:19)
- “Let each one of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.” (Philippians 2:4)
- “Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord.” (Ephesians 5:22)
- “Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.” (Colossians 3:19)
- Colossians 3:19
Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.
Ephesians 5:25-33
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church, because we are members of His body. For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. This mystery is great; but I am speaking with reference to Christ and the church.
1 Corinthians 7:3-5
Let the husband render to his wife her due. And likewise also the wife to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. And likewise also the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. Do not deprive one another except with consent for a time, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again so that Satan does not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.

Overview
In Western culture, husbands tend to have active social and political lives, while their wives tend to have more domestic responsibilities. In some cases this can cause conflict at home when the roles are considered too disparate.[1]
The idea that women should be subordinate to men has been around since biblical times.[2] However, this view is not shared by all religions or cultures. The Code of Hammurabi (1750 BC), written in Babylon during the Amorite period, states that if a woman was accused of an offense she could not be convicted if no male witness were present.[3] This can be compared to Deuteronomy 22:20–21[4] which states that if there were no witnesses then an alleged rapist should be forced to marry his victim.[5]
Stereotypes about gender roles often result in men being stereotyped as more capable than women at performing certain tasks, such as doing household repairs.[6][7] However, this assumption may be incorrect because men
What does the bible say about husband duties?
I have been married for 2 years now and I am still not sure what my husband duties are. I know that I need to submit to him but what else?
As a woman, you should be submitting to your husband as the head of your household (Ephesians 5:22). As the head of your household, he should take care of you and your needs (1 Peter 3:7). This means that he should provide for you financially, provide for your physical needs (food and shelter), and provide for your spiritual needs (prayer and spending time with God).
In order to be a good wife and submit to your husband, you must also love him unconditionally just as Christ loved us unconditionally (Ephesians 5:25). You must respect him as the head of our home by showing him honor just like we should show honor towards God (Ephesians 5:33). You must also be loyal to him by not committing adultery against him or any other man (Exodus 20:14-15; Matthew 19:5-6; Ephesians 5:22-23).
