A Prayer For The New Year

For every new year of baseball, football, or any other sport or season, there is always a feeling of anticipation in the air. The same holds true for blogging and internet marketing. As 2017 draws to a close and 2018 becomes the new year, we all have a strong desire to make blogging changes for the better.

So here it is—a prayer for the new year. May your blogs attract subscribers and keep them coming back for more. May your reader’s post with honesty and your commenters be generous; may you have time to write what you love and make a living doing it. Let this be a year of writing that matters, that’s a joy to read, that speaks to the hearts of readers, and that brings glory to God. Amen.

A Prayer For The New Year

A Prayer For The New Year

Dear God,

We come to you with thanksgiving for all that we have received in the past year. We pray for your guidance as we live into this new year.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Almighty God, in whom we live and move and have our being: We thank you for the blessings of the past year, and we pray that you will guide us as we face the challenges of the coming year. We ask your blessing upon all those who have helped us throughout this past year, especially our families and friends. May your love be with them always, even as we are united in prayer to you. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen

Dear God,

We come to you at the beginning of a new year and ask that you guide us in our lives.

We know that you love us and we thank you for your blessings.

Please help us with our many needs: health, relationships, finances, employment and spiritual growth.

Help us to be the people we would like to be; people who are kind and loving, generous and forgiving.

Give us patience and understanding so that we can get along with each other better. Help us be more tolerant towards those who do not share our beliefs or traditions.

May this be an exciting year for all of us as we look forward to what you have in store for us! In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen

Dear Lord,

We come before you today to ask for your guidance and protection as we enter into a new year. We humbly ask that you would open our hearts and minds to receive your messages of love and healing for our lives.

We pray that all of us may work together toward the creation of a more just and loving world, where peace reigns and where there is no hunger or want, where children are protected from harm, where people live in harmony with each other and with all of creation.

We thank you for all the blessings that you have bestowed upon us during the past year and we ask that they continue throughout this new year. We especially thank you for your forgiveness and healing which has helped us and so many others through difficult times. We pray that this healing will continue throughout our lives as we strive to become better persons on every level: physically, emotionally, socially, intellectually, spiritually and psychologically.

We ask that you would continue to guide us through all our activities so that they will reflect your love for all people – both those who are close to us in our families or friends as well as those who may be far away from us geographically but yet still need our prayers at this time of year when many are turning their thoughts toward

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil for thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Amen.

Lord, thank You for the amazing year that has just passed. Thank you for the blessings and for watching over us. Thank you for strengthening us when we were weak and giving us peace when we were anxious.

Dear Lord, thank You for the amazing year that has just passed. Thank you for the blessings and for watching over us. Thank you for strengthening us when we were weak, and giving us peace when we were anxious.

And now as we roll into a new year, we are asking You to continue to guide our steps and shape our lives in ways that are pleasing to You. We pray that You would provide peace and calmness through this time of transition as we move forward into what will be an exciting new year! We know that no matter what kind of challenges come our way—whether they’re big or small—You can help us face them head on if only we ask You first (and then seek Your guidance throughout).

We pray these things in Jesus’ name—a very Merry Christmas everyone!

We know that You are a good God and that You have our best interests at heart. In Your kindness and goodness, help me to be comforted, strengthened and filled with faith as I wait on You in this new year, Father.

Dear God,

We know that You are a good God and that You have our best interests at heart. In Your kindness and goodness, help me to be comforted, strengthened and filled with faith as I wait on You in this new year, Father.

The Bible tells us that “those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint” (Isaiah 40:31).

The Bible tells us that “those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint” (Isaiah 40:31).

In this new year, may we all find hope in our Savior to renew our strength? May we focus on what is important, have faith in His plan for us, and look forward with hope for what He has planned for us this coming year!

As we enter into a new season of our lives, fill us with hope for the future. Help each one of us to have faith in You and to trust that You will make all things beautiful in Your perfect time.

As we enter into a new season of our lives, fill us with hope for the future. Help each one of us to have faith in You and to trust that You will make all things beautiful in Your perfect time.

Don’t take anything for granted. Be grateful for what you have now and look forward to what is yet to come. Pray for others who are struggling through hard times or need encouragement themselves. Know that even when it seems like nothing will ever be ok again, God is still there waiting with open arms!

In times of uncertainty, help us to find our security in Your unfailing love, strength, goodness and mercy. Fill our hearts with faith in You today and every day.

In times of uncertainty, help us to find our security in Your unfailing love, strength, goodness and mercy. Fill our hearts with faith in You today and every day.

When we trust you completely for all that we need, then You can lead us on the path that is best for us at this time. Thank You for being faithful to us even when we don’t know what to do or where to turn! We praise Your name for giving us hope through Jesus Christ who taught us how to live each day trusting in Your guidance as well as His love which gives meaning and purpose to our lives!

Help me to remember that my hope is not based on what I can see or feel but upon what I know to be true – God’s promises are ‘yes’ and ‘amen.’ I pray that this truth would always encourage me to run to You in every circumstance of life.

Hope is a grace, a gift from God. It is a virtue that enables us to see the goodness of God and His promises in the midst of difficulties.

Hope isn’t wishful thinking or living on false optimism. Hope is not based on your situation or circumstances, but rather on what you know to be true: that God’s promises are ‘yes’ and ‘amen.’

Hope encourages us to run to Him when we feel weak and discouraged; it gives us strength when we need it most because our hope is not based on what we can see or feel, but upon what He has promised—His love endures forever!

In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I pray for you and all whom you love.

I pray for peace in your family and home, for harmony in relationships with others, for health and healing for those who are sick or suffering.

I pray for a spirit of generosity in your life, that you may share with others what God has given to you, whether it be money or time or talent.

I pray that all of us as Christians might become united in our faith, that we might be known by our love for one another so that people will see Christ in our lives.

God of our fathers, God of our grandfathers, God of our children, we thank you for the new year.

In this time of hope and promise, we offer our thanks for all that was good in the past year and all that lies ahead.

We ask your blessing on those who are sick or suffering; may they find healing and comfort in your care.

We pray through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Father God,

We thank you for the gift of this new year.

We pray that you will continue to guide our steps, even as we make plans and set goals. We pray that in our work and family life, in our homes and schools and churches, you will give us strength to accomplish all we hope for.

This is a time of new beginnings. We ask that you would help us to see what is truly important, so that we can be the best version of ourselves in the coming year.

Amen

Dear God,

We pray for our families and loved ones as we begin this New Year.

May they be filled with hope, peace and joy.

We pray for our community, that we may be blessed with health and happiness.

May we be granted a safe passage through these next twelve months.

We pray for those who are suffering from illness or injury, may they be healed by your loving hand.

Grant them strength to endure their ordeal and give them courage to continue their battle against disease or pain.

We pray for those who have lost loved ones during these past twelve months, may they find comfort in knowing that they are now at peace with you in heaven.

Grant them the strength to move forward without their presence here on earth and help them to remember all the happy times they spent together while they were on earth.

We pray for those who suffer from loneliness, especially during this Christmas season when family is so far away; grant them companionship and love so that they will know how much they are cared about by others around them. Please look after all those who travel alone during this holiday period, that no harm will come to them as they make their way

O Lord, we pray that in the coming year we will be open to your calling.

We pray that you will help us to discern your will and purpose for our lives.

We pray that you will keep us safe, healthy and whole.

We pray that you will bring healing and wholeness to our world.

In Jesus’ name, Amen

God,

You are faithful. You are the same yesterday and today, and forever. We thank you for your steadfast love and protection. We thank you for the blessings of this past year and for the joy that we have experienced with our family. We ask that you would continue to walk with us on our journey through life, to guide us in all that we do, to protect us from harm, to keep us safe from evil, and to help us to be good stewards of this earth that you have entrusted to our care.

We pray especially…

…for those who are sick or in need of comfort or prayer;

…for those who have suffered loss or death;

…for peace in our world today;

…that we would be wise stewards of all that we have been given by God;

…that we would learn to distinguish between what is truly important in life and what is not;

…that we may be a blessing to others;

…that we may be open-minded about new ideas and new experiences without being influenced by them unless they are truly consistent with the teachings of Christ;
