For every new year of baseball, football, or any other sport or season, there is always a feeling of anticipation in the air. The same holds true for blogging and internet marketing. Dear God,

We come to you with thanksgiving for all that we have received in the past year. We pray for your guidance as we live into this new year.

Almighty God, in whom we live and move and have our being: We thank you for the blessings of the past year, and we pray that you will guide us as we face the challenges of the coming year. Help me to remember that my hope is not based on what I can see or feel but upon what I know to be true – God’s promises are ‘yes’ and ‘amen.’ I pray that this truth would always encourage me to run to You in every circumstance of life.

Hope is a grace, a gift from God. It is a virtue that enables us to see the goodness of God and His promises in the midst of difficulties.

Hope isn’t wishful thinking or living on false optimism. Hope is not based on your situation or circumstances, but rather on what you know to be true: that God’s promises are ‘yes’ and ‘amen.’

Hope encourages us to run to Him when we feel weak and discouraged; it gives us strength when we need it most because our hope is not based on what we can see or feel, but upon what He has promised—His love endures forever!
