How Long Did It Take To Write The Old Testament

In the last month, I have been doing a lot of reading and was inspired to write a blog post on how long it would take to read the Bible. I used the ESV Study Bible throughout this post because it has an estimated reading time per passage. This is interesting because it can provide information on how long that chapter was in months and years when the text was first written. Below is a chart with biblical lengths:Over What Period of Time Was the Bible Written? and How Many Books Does the Bible Contain?

Although it is based on Jewish tradition, this particular blog section highlights articles about people who have studied it as part of their research or coursework.
