Scripture is clear that Christians should not be arguing, fist fighting, creating drama, or repaying evil of any kind. No matter how hard it may seem, if someone slaps you on the cheek you must turn away from that person. If someone says some nasty words to you don’t repay them back. You must put away your pride. Christians will get persecuted, but attacking violence with violence only brings more violence. Instead of fighting with someone be the bigger person and talk it out nicely and kindly and repay that person with blessings. Pray for yourself and pray for others. Ask God to help you. Is it ever OK to defend yourself? Yes, sometimes you have to defend yourself.
Overwhelming. That’s the only word I can think of to describe this time. First off, I’d like to thank you for visiting my site. If you’re feeling overwhelmed with your responsibilities, please don’t feel guilty about it. We all know that feeling, but I’m going to make a suggestion that might help you feel less overwhelmed: read the Bible.
Our journey to Christian maturity is not a smooth one. It is filled with many ups and downs, trials and tribulations, good times and bad—the life of a Christian. As Christians, we are called to persevere through the fight of faith (1 Tim 6:12). In particular, Paul writes that we should not “be weary in well-doing” (2 Thes 3:13).
Bible Verses About Fighting The Good Fight
Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
(1 Timothy 6:12)
The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. (2 Corinthians 10:4-5)
Do not be overcome by evil but overcome evil with good. (Romans 12:21)
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. (Romans 12:21)
Godly wisdom is a valuable asset, and it must be fought for, because the world will try to steal it.
1 Corinthians 2:4-5
And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
Romans 8:14
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
Philippians 1:20-21
Bible verses about fighting the good fight
1 Corinthians 15:57-58 ESV

2 Timothy 4:7-8 ESV
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me but also to all who have longed for his appearing. (NIV)
1 Corinthians 9:24-27 ESV
Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. 25 And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. 26 Therefore I run thus
1 Peter 5:8-9
Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
2 Timothy 4:7-8
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day–and not only to me but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
Revelation 12:11-12
They triumphed over him by means of the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to be afraid to die. Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to you, O earth and sea, for the devil has come down to you in great wrath, because he knows that his time is short!”
Romans 12:18 (NIV)

“For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.”
What does the Bible say?
1. Colossians 3:8 But now, put off all such things as anger, rage, malice, slander, abusive language from your mouth.
2. Ephesians 4:30-31 Do not grieve the Holy Spirit, by whom you were marked with a seal for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, quarreling, and slander be put away from you, along with all hatred.
3. 1 Peter 2:1-3 So get rid of every kind of evil, every kind of deception, hypocrisy, jealousy, and every kind of slander. Desire God’s pure word as newborn babies desire milk. Then you will grow in your salvation. Certainly you have tasted that the Lord is good!
4. Galatians 5:19-25 Now, the effects of the corrupt nature are obvious: illicit sex, perversion, promiscuity, idolatry, drug use, hatred, rivalry, jealousy, angry outbursts, selfish ambition, conflict, factions, envy, drunkenness, wild partying, and similar things. I’ve told you in the past and I’m telling you again that people who do these kinds of things will not inherit God’s kingdom. But the spiritual nature produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There are no laws against things like that. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified their corrupt nature along with its passions and desires. If we live by our spiritual nature, then our lives need to conform to our spiritual nature.
5. James 4:1 What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you?
Don’t pay back evil.
6. Proverbs 24:29 Don’t say, “I’ll do to him like he did to me, I’ll be sure to pay him back for what he did.”
7. Romans 12:17-19 Don’t pay people back with evil for the evil they do to you. Focus your thoughts on those things that are considered noble. As much as it is possible, live in peace with everyone. Don’t take revenge, dear friends. Instead, let God’s anger take care of it. After all, Scripture says, “I alone have the right to take revenge. I will pay back, says the Lord.”
We must love even our enemies.
8. Romans 12:20-21 But, “If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink. If you do this, you will make him feel guilty and ashamed.” Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil with good.
Turning the other cheek.
9. Matthew 5:39 But I tell you not to oppose an evil person. If someone slaps you on your right cheek, turn your other cheek to him as well.
10. Luke 6:29-31 If someone strikes you on the cheek, offer the other cheek as well. If someone takes your coat, don’t stop him from taking your shirt. Give to everyone who asks you for something. If someone takes what is yours, don’t insist on getting it back. “Do for other people everything you want them to do for you.
Faith: The only fighting we should be doing.
11. 1 Timothy 6:12-15 Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. In the sight of God, who gives life to everything, and of Christ Jesus, who while testifying before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, I charge you to keep this command without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which God will bring about in his own time—God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords,
12. 2 Timothy 4:7-8 I have fought the good fight. I have completed the race. I have kept the faith. The prize that shows I have God’s approval is now waiting for me. The Lord, who is a fair judge, will give me that prize on that day. He will give it not only to me but also to everyone who is eagerly waiting for him to come again.
Love covers an offense.
13. Proverbs 17:9 The one who forgives an offense seeks love, but whoever repeats a matter separates close friends.
14. 1 Peter 4:8-10 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.
Confessing your sins.
15. 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Forgiving one another.
16. Ephesians 4:32 Be kind and loving to each other. Forgive each other the same as God forgave you through Christ.
Matthew 6:14-15 Yes, if you forgive others for the wrongs they do to you, then your Father in heaven will also forgive your wrongs. But if you don’t forgive others, then your Father in heaven will not forgive the wrongs you do.
17. Matthew 5:23-24 Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.
Advice
18. Psalm 37:8 Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath! Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil.
19. Galatians 5:16-18 So I tell you, live the way the Spirit leads you. Then you will not do the evil things your sinful self wants. The sinful self wants what is against the Spirit, and the Spirit wants what is against the sinful self. They are always fighting against each other, so that you don’t do what you really want to do. But if you let the Spirit lead you, you are not under law
20. Ephesians 6:13-15 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.

Bible Verses about Evil Spirits
The Bible is full of verses about evil spirits. The word “demon” actually comes from the Greek word for “spirit.” The Bible teaches that there are many evil spirits at work in the world, and that they are all under the authority of Satan. Here are some examples:
Ephesians 6:12 – “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
1 Timothy 4:1 – “But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons.”
Matthew 4:24 – “So He said to His disciples, ‘I was watching Satan fall from heaven like lightning.'”
James 1:13-15 – “When tempted, no one should say, ‘God is tempting me.’ For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He tempt anyone; but each one is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin; and sin when it is full grown brings forth death.”
- The Devil and his demons are real, but they have no power over you unless you give them permission to destroy you.
- A great prayer for deliverance from evil spirits, demons and the devil himself is found in Matthew 18:18-19: “Truly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
- By using the name of Jesus Christ and claiming His authority, we can command demons to leave our bodies and leave our homes immediately!
- When we pray for ourselves or anyone else who is under attack by evil spirits, it is important that we also pray for God’s protection from these attacks. We need to ask God to send angels to guard us against any further attacks and to protect us from any harm that might come our way as a result of this warfare with the enemy (Ephesians 6:10-18).
- If we have been delivered from demonic control or oppression through deliverance prayers like those found in Ephesians 6:10-18; Matthew 18:18-19; Matthew 10:1-8; 2 Corinthians 11:3-4; 2 Timothy 3:1-5;
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” – 1 Peter 5:8
“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.” – John 10:10-11
“Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil.” – Hebrews 2:14
Ephesians 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
1 John 4:4
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world.

“For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12
