Prayers To Give Me Strength

There are so many various sorts of prayers that a person may learn to say, but I’m going to go through three here. They’ll provide you some strength and assist you through challenging situations. These prayers may be recited by anyone—no matter what faith or background they have.

There are moments in all of our lives when we simply need to find the fortitude to believe in ourselves. We know we can accomplish it… but we simply have to have trust. These prayers can help you locate that faith and make you think that you’re capable…

If you’re like me and suffer from anxiety and depression, you know how hard it is to go through a day’s work without feeling like the walls are closing in. You’ll be lying if you tell me you haven’t thought of leaving your career, or that you haven’t considered about giving up trying to achieve happiness. But there are still hope out there. I’ve tried everything to feel better, but nothing ever worked until I met God. It required trust, but it has showed me something higher than myself. I want to share with you what works for me, so maybe I can help make your life better too.

Prayers To Give Me Strength

Prayers To Give Me Strength

I have always admired the way you have handled your life with strength and dignity. I was wondering if you could share with me some of your prayers that you have used to get through hard times in your life.

I know that people sometimes pray for specific things, but I am not sure how to do that or even if it is a good idea. I am just looking for basic prayers that say “God help me be strong” or “God give me courage”, etc.

I am currently going through a rough time in my life right now and I am trying to find ways to get through it without losing my faith.

Prayer for Strength

O Lord, give me the strength to do what is right, not just what is easy.

Lord, help me always to be on the side of truth and justice.

Lord, give me the strength to stand up for what’s right and fight back against evil.

Lord, give me the courage to speak out against injustice wherever I see it.

God, I need Your strength. I need Your help. I know that You are able to give me the strength to do what is right. You can give me the strength to stand up for what is right. Lord, give me the courage to do what is right in this situation. Please help me to stand strong in my faith and not be swayed by the actions of others around me or by their words or thoughts. Help me to see things as they really are instead of how they appear to be. Give me wisdom and understanding so that I may lead others along the path that You want us all to travel on.

Lord, please guide those who do not know You into Your light and into Your truth. In Jesus’ name I pray amen!

O God, the source of all strength, without whom nothing is strong. We pray to You, O Lord, that we may be strengthened and made steadfast in our faith by the power of the Holy Spirit. Help us to walk in truth and love, to live in Christ and serve Him in others. In His name we pray. Amen.

Lord Jesus Christ, You have said, “If any man will come after Me let him deny himself, take up his cross daily and follow Me.” We ask You to help us to carry our daily crosses with courage and patience so that they may become signs of Your love for us and be channels of grace for others. Grant that we may be witnesses of Your love who overcome evil with good. Amen

O God of all consolation, hear my prayer; in Your mercy strengthen me according to Your promise made to all who trust in You; comfort me with Your presence here on earth until I reach my eternal home in heaven; through Jesus Christ our Lord who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit now and forevermore. Amen

  1. “Let us pray for God to help us to live in such a way that we may be examples of Christ’s love, in word and deed. Let us pray for courage to resist evil, for the strength to do good, and for wisdom to know the difference.”
  2. “Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy upon me, a sinner.”
  3. “O Lord Jesus Christ, who saidst unto thine apostles: Peace I leave with you; my peace I give unto you: look not on our sins, but on the faith of thy Church; and vouchsafe to grant her peace and unity according to thy will; Who livest and reignest God world without end. Amen”
  4. “Remember O Lord your Church throughout the world; unite it all into one flock under one Shepherd.”
  5. “I appeal to you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice holy acceptable to God which is your spiritual worship.”
  6. “May the mind of Christ my Savior be in me now so that I may accept what he has done for me in his death on the cross

Hard days at work or at home can spring upon you without much warning. These difficult times can impact your well-being in mental, emotional, and physical ways, and oftentimes make you feel too weak to face what life is throwing at you today. But God already knows that you are strong enough to take on any obstacle no matter the size or weight, and these prayers for strength will give you the courage you may need to remember just how resilient you are.

Sometimes it can be easier to give in to the overwhelming swirl of thoughts and emotions that tend to arise when you are struggling in any situation. But seeking guidance through faith is one avenue to explore that may also provide you with a sense of comfort and peace. Of course, there is no “right way” on the path towards healing, but tuning in with your faith through prayer can offer a quiet sanctuary where you can find strength when you may be feeling your weakest. These prayers about strength will empower you so that you can make it through the hardest days. And if you have a family member or friend who is struggling, you can share one of these prayers with them to send a little (or a lot of) strength their way.

Our lives can get overwhelming, daunting, and hard. We can easily get discouraged, frustrated, and burned out by circumstances or relationships that are beyond our control. In those seasons where we are feeling hopeless and helpless, the best thing we can do is turn away from the challenges and turn toward Christ. When we remember that God is in control and our lives are not our own, we remember we have a Savior who gives us strength when we are weak and who comforts us in all our times of need.

To help you in thanking God, we created a 30 Days of Gratitude Prayer Guide HERE. Download and print this guide to keep with you as a reminder of God’s love and promises.

We love and serve a good, gracious Father, and we are undeserving of the love, grace, and mercy he so freely lavishes on us. What else could we do but give him endless thanks and praise in return?

We hope and pray that the following verses, prayers, videos, and resources help you find countless ways to say “thank you” to the Lord of all heaven and earth, the God who knows and cherishes our hearts. He has given us so much to be grateful for in every season– life, salvation, loved ones, tiny blessings in our busy days, kind words from strangers, sunshine… the list goes on.

For Strength in Weakness

For Strength in Weakness

One of the most important lessons I’ve learned in life is that strength comes from weakness. As we grow and learn, our weaknesses often become our strengths.

My first experience with this principle came when I was young and I experienced some difficulties with my parents. At first, I felt weak and vulnerable, but eventually I realized that those experiences gave me the strength to be more compassionate toward others who were going through similar situations.

This principle applies to all areas of life. When you’re faced with challenges, instead of allowing yourself to feel weak, think about how those challenges will help you become stronger — then use them as opportunities to become more compassionate!

For Strength in Weakness

Romans 5:1-8 (ESV)

For further study – John 19:30-37; Luke 22:39-44; Psalm 40:1-3; Proverbs 24:16-18.

1Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

2Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

The apostle Paul had a unique perspective on the weakness of Christ. He was writing to the Romans, and he said, “I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first and also to the Greek” (Rom 1:16).

Paul understood that weakness was a necessary part of salvation. He said that Christ “had to be made like his brethren in all things” (Heb 2:17), including weaknesses.

The suffering of Christ was not an accident or an oversight. It was part of God’s plan for our redemption. Jesus’ weakness was necessary because sinners need a Savior who can identify with them and understand their needs, their problems and their struggles. We cannot relate to someone who has never experienced weakness or failure in any way, shape or form.

When we are weak in ourselves and when we feel too weak to do anything useful for God’s Kingdom, we should remember that Jesus also felt this way at times, even though He was both divine and human at once!

Nothing can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan ‘press on’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.

  • Calvin Coolidge

When we feel weak we are tempted to give up or look for something outside of ourselves to make us feel strong again. But Jesus offers a different way: When we feel weak, he offers us strength in weakness through his grace, mercy and love for us.

The Bible says that God is a God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles (2 Corinthians 1:3). Therefore, when we find ourselves facing difficulties and trials, we can be sure that God will give us the strength to face them.

The Apostle Paul learned this lesson the hard way. When he was a young man, he was full of zeal for Christ and wanted to devote his life to spreading the gospel. But he soon found himself in prison for his faith. He wrote in his letter to the Philippians: “I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content.” He had faced incredible hardships and yet remained steadfast in his faith. His example shows us that God will give us strength when we are weak.

Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me and always seeing me. I’m so grateful I am not invisible to You. You call me the apple of Your eye, the crown of creation, friend and beloved. I will echo Leah and declare that, “I will praise the LORD.” You are worthy of all praise, blessing, honor and glory. In Jesus’ Name, Amen. (Arlene Pellicane)

Heavenly Father, thank You for being our strength when we are weak. Thank you for your promises that speak love and peace into our lives every day. Help me to trust your Word and claim it to be truth! Please help us to wait on Your perfectly timed plans, fully surrendering our lives to Your leading. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Thank You for Loving Me

A Prayer of Thankfulness for Times of Struggle

O God, you have seen my troubles and have heard my cries.

You have been with me when I was in trouble.

You have comforted me through the hard times of my life.

Help me to remember that you have brought me through each time I called on you for help.

In Jesus’ name, Amen

Dear Lord,

I thank You for this day. I thank You for all of Your blessings. This day has been hard, but I know that You are with me. I pray that You will help me to have a positive attitude through this struggle. Help me to remember that it is only temporary and that there is a purpose for everything in life, even if we don’t understand it at the time. Help me to see the blessings in my life even when I am struggling with health issues or financial difficulty or other problems in my life. Please give me strength to endure this trial so that I may learn from it and grow stronger as a result; help me to find joy during times of hardship and comfort during times of sorrow; help me help others who are facing similar difficulties; bring hope into my heart even when things seem hopeless; give me wisdom to know what steps need to be taken next; show me how I can make a difference even in the midst of struggles. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen

Oh Lord, thank you for this time of struggle. Thank you for the challenges, the opportunities and the lessons I have learned. Thank you for my family and friends who have been by my side through this hard time.

I pray that You would give me strength to overcome this obstacle that I am facing. I pray that You would help me to be humble and patient during this difficult time in my life.

Lord, please help me to see beyond this situation that is challenging me today. Help me see what You see in this situation so that I may make wise decisions about how to handle it.

Lord, thank you for giving me the ability to persevere through these hard times because without Your strength I could not do it on my own! Thank you for giving me the strength to keep going even when things get tough!

Thank you Lord Jesus Christ for being with me during this difficult time in my life! Amen

Father God, I thank you for the struggles in my life.

Thank you for the times it seems like there is no way out, no hope and no light at the end of this tunnel.

Thank you for the times that I feel like I am not enough and that I am going to fail at this.

Thank you for the times of loneliness where I feel as if no one cares about me.

Thank you for the times where I feel like giving up because life just seems too hard.

Thank you for testing my faith even though it feels like it will be tested beyond what is bearable.

I know that this is all part of your plan for me and that these things will make me stronger and better than before.

In Jesus name, amen

Thank you for the struggles of my life.

Thank you for the difficult relationships, the financial trials, the health issues, and all of the other difficulties I have encountered.

Thank you for using these things to mold me into a stronger person.

Thank you for teaching me lessons that can only be learned through suffering.

Thank you for giving me strength to persevere through these trials and tribulations.

Thank you for using these experiences to motivate me to grow as a human being and become more like Jesus Christ.

God, Sometimes life gets me down and I find it hard to see things to be thankful for. Open my eyes to see the gifts you’ve given me in my life. I’m going to start by thanking you for loving me enough to come to earth and die so we can live together forever. Amen. (Wendy Van Eyck)

“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thess. 5:18

Choosing Gratitude

God, we thank You for who You are and all You have done for us. We praise You when life is hard. We praise You when life is happy. We choose to thank You in all that’s in-between. You alone deserve to receive glory. In Jesus’ Name, Amen. (Holley Gerth)

A Simple Thank You

Heavenly Father, thank You.  Thank You for being everything to me and for me.  You are faithful!  You are concerned with everything that concerns me.  I am grateful for Your Holy Spirit that comforts me during times of fear and doubt.  Thank You for everything that You’ve done for me; seen and unseen.  I will praise Your name, forever!  In Jesus’ name, Amen. (Maria Drayton)

A Prayer for Strength When Weary

Lord, I’m weary. My energy is sagging, and my motivation is lagging. And I am so in need of you. I need your strength and your fresh touch to get back on track again. Your Word says the joy of the Lord is my strength. If that’s true, then I need your joy to replace all the bone-tired parts of my mind, body, and soul.

The pressures of life sometimes push me into a corner, rendering me helpless to move forward. A hundred voices call my name, and I feel paralyzed at times to answer, not knowing where to turn. Lord, help me not to quit, to keep running the race faithfully, and to find strength in that safe, secret place of yours, under the shadow of the Almighty.

I need your strength to say no when I’m tempted to surrender to harmful things, or when selfishness clings to my clothes and won’t let go. I need your strength to say yes, when cowardice and fear nudge me to deny the convictions of my heart. I need your strength to reach out in love to those both close to me and all around me. When don’t I need your strength, God?

You are my rock, and I run to you today, believing that you will lift up my heavy arms, that you will fuel me for the tasks you’ve given me, and that your joy will completely consume the weakness of my life and make me strong again. I don’t want to stay grounded, crippled by limitations and failed attempts. I’m tired of feeble efforts. Lord, I want to mount up with wings like an eagle and not just fly. I want to soar.

Renew my strength, Lord. Fill me with your supernatural power to overcome each obstacle in my path. With my eyes on you, Lord, with you walking beside me, working through me, I can make it. Thank you, Lord!

In Jesus’s name, Amen

A Prayer for Strength When You’re At Your Weakest

Lord Jesus, give me the strength to stick it out over the long haul—not the grim strength of gritting my teeth but the glory-strength God gives. It is strength that endures the unendurable and spills over into joy, thanking the Father who makes me strong enough to take part in everything bright and beautiful that he has for me. Jesus, give me strength in my weakness. Amen.
~ Wendy van Eyck

A Prayer for Strength and Encouragement

Lord, like David, I need your encouragement in a time of trial and anguish. Thank you that you are always on the throne, always my God, ready to save. Thank you for being the same God to me that you were to David. Thank you for always being near and always rescuing me from my fears and hurts. Lord, help me remember that daybreak might be just ahead, that this trial will not last forever. Fill me with hope that daybreak is coming and that your love will always prevail! In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
