“Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.”
Then I thank Him for what He has done in my life, because He has given me eternal life. Then I ask Him to help me get through this trial that is upon me right now.
I ask Him to give me His strength to carry on in spite of the fear that I feel. I beg Him not to let me give up or become discouraged. I know that if He gives us strength we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength.

How to Overcome Fear of God
Fear of God is a feeling of reverence, respect and awe for God. It is a natural human emotion that helps us to stay away from evil. In fact, it is a good thing when it keeps us from sinning.
When we sin, we show disrespect for God and His authority over our lives. When we fear God, we respect Him and His Word. We also have an appreciation for His goodness and mercy toward us—even though He is justly angry with sin!
We should never be afraid of God because we know He loves us (1 John 4:16). However, we do need to live in awe at the thought of standing before Him someday and giving an account for our life (2 Corinthians 5:10).
The Bible is full of verses and passages that can help you overcome fear. Here are just a few:
“Do not be afraid of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked, for the LORD will be at your side and will keep your foot from being snared. Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to do it.” (Proverbs 3:25-26)
“God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7)
“I want you to know how much I care for you; so I’m praying for you. I’m hoping and praying that everything goes well with you, and that God will help you realize what he wants for your life.” (3 John 2)
“Do not be afraid of them; remember the Lord who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons and daughters, your wives and homes.” (Deuteronomy 3:22)
“The Lord Almighty says, ‘I will send my fear before you and will cause confusion among all the peoples to whom you come; they will hear reports about you but will not understand them.'” (Isa
Fear is a part of life. We all experience it, and we all have our own fears. However, there is a difference between being afraid of something and being fearful. A person who is fearful will be overcome by their fear and allow it to control them, while an individual who is afraid will take steps to face their fear head on.
When you are afraid, you may feel as if you have no control over your life or your future. It can cause you to make irrational decisions and it can even prevent you from doing the things that are important to you in life. But there are ways that you can overcome fear in your life.
The first step towards overcoming fear is accepting that it exists for everyone. Fear does not make us weak or less than other people; it makes us human. As humans we all experience fear at some point in our lives, but how we deal with that fear defines who we are as individuals.
For example: If you have ever had a bad experience with spiders, then most likely when one crawls across your floor or window sill, you will jump back like a frightened rabbit! However, by jumping back every time a spider comes out of hiding (even if it isn’t going to hurt anyone),
God has a plan for your life, and that plan is good. You may not see it or understand it at the time, but He does.
God is bigger than any situation you are facing right now. He wants to give you peace and wisdom in those situations. The Bible says, “The peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7).
God has given us free will, so we have a choice whether or not to accept His plan for our lives. We can choose to do things our own way and follow our own desires instead of obeying God’s Word and His will for our lives — but that doesn’t mean that God won’t be there with us through every step of the way!
- Acknowledge that fear is a normal human reaction to danger.
Fear is a normal human emotion. It’s what keeps us from walking into the street without looking and getting run over by a bus! Fear protects us from danger in much the same way as pain protects us from injury. The problem with fear, however, is that it can sometimes get out of control and cause more problems than it prevents. If you’re feeling fearful, try to remember that it’s okay to be afraid — just don’t let your fear stop you from doing what you want to do or being who you want to be.
- Don’t let your fears control your actions or decisions.
When we’re afraid, we tend to make irrational decisions based on what we think might happen rather than on what actually will happen (or not happen). For example, if someone has been harassing you verbally, telling yourself that they are going to physically attack you can lead you to avoid them when they aren’t actually planning on attacking. In this case, the best solution would be calling 911 and reporting the incident so that authorities can intervene and make sure nothing happens (i.e., take away their ability). If you keep avoiding them
