Most people have heard the saying “like a duck takes to water.” What does that expression mean, and where does it come from? Some may say that it means something comes naturally to the person, but others might think that is not true.Christian encouragement for single moms, prayers for single moms
It may sound funny, but a poorly written bible verse can not only ruin your day, it can ruin your life. Christian singles are aware that in the natural, marriage is an outstanding solution for single-hood; however, this does not write off the importance of God’s word for your circumstances.
Bible Verses About Single Mothers
single mothers have a long list of responsibilities. They have to be both mother and father, cook and clean, and they have to do it all while holding down a job. That’s why it’s so important for single moms to know they’re not alone. The Bible is full of verses that encourage single mothers and remind them that God is with them through their struggles.
Here are some of our favorites:
Psalm 126:5-6 “Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy. He who goes out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with him.”
1 Corinthians 13:4-6 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old he will not depart from it.’
The Bible is filled with verses about the strength of single mothers. And if you’re a single mom, you know that strength is exactly what you need. Here are some Bible verses to encourage and strengthen you as a single mom:

Single mothers are in a tough situation. They have more than enough to deal with, and yet they are often faced with the added burden of having to raise their children on their own.
If you’re a single mother, take comfort in knowing that God loves you and cares for you. He has not forgotten about you or left you to fend for yourself. As a Christian, there are many verses in the Bible that can offer encouragement and strength to help get you through this difficult time. Here are some of my favorites:
Psalm 68:5 – “A father of the fatherless and a judge for the widows is God in his holy habitation.” God is our father and judge, especially for those who have no other home besides Him. He cares for us as His children and makes sure we have someone who will advocate for us when we need it most.
Psalm 27:10 – “For my father and my mother have forsaken me; but The Lord will take me up.” You may feel like there’s no one left who cares about you or wants to help out with your kids; but trust The Lord with everything! He will never forsake you and will always be there when
Psalm 71:5, Psalm 71:6
“Thou art my hope, O Lord God; Thou art my trust from my youth. By Thee have I been holden up from the womb; Thou art He that took me out of my mother’s bowels: My praise shall be continually of Thee.”
Isaiah 44:2-3
“Thus saith the Lord that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, which will help thee; Fear not; for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west; I will say to the north, Turn thou, and s

“You have been my guide since I was a child and my protector since I was old enough to know better. I will praise you for the rest of my days, because you are God who saves me from myself. You are my strength when I am weak, my hope when things look bleak.” (Psalm 71:17-18)
“The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.” (Lamentations 3:25)
“The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.” (Psalm 145:18)
“The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms; he will drive out your enemies before you, saying, ‘Destroy them!'” (Deuteronomy 33:27)
