Prayers To Read At Night

The majority of us understand how important it is to read our prayers each morning. On the other hand, many of us forget to pray at night. Perhaps we don’t feel like praying before night because we’re exhausted following a full day. Or sometimes we become so preoccupied with daily tasks that we completely neglect prayer.

There is always something to pray for in life, and when night falls, we can read the prayers designated for general use along with certain others that are specific. in order to provide diversity and richness. And the first thing we should do when we are in a difficult or dangerous situation is to concentrate our eyes on Jesus. Self-dependence shouldn’t be played with since in the long run it is destructive.

Though they might not like to admit it, most religious individuals can probably recall a time when saying a few prayers each day wasn’t precisely a part of their regular routine. Many people resort to their daily prayers when life gets stressful, challenging, or depressing. When things are going well or when life becomes hectic, it might be simple to forget about the habit. But making it a practice to heal through prayer each day is a terrific approach to prioritize quiet time with God and stay rooted in your faith on a regular basis. Reading a prayer for today can help you feel more connected to God and can also reduce stress and worry on a regular basis.

Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel

St. Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle; be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. Amen.

Prayer to St Francis Xavier

O most glorious Apostle of Jesus Christ! You were a brilliant light in the Church of God and a burning torch in spreading His holy faith throughout the world. You were a zealous apostle whose love for souls was second only to that of your divine Master Himself. You are invoked as patron and intercessor for missions because you yourself were an Apostle to all nations. Intercede for us that we may be missionaries among our fellowmen so that they too will know Christ crucified and risen again for them and for their salvation. Amen.

Repeat this prayer 100 times before going to sleep each night:

I ask You by Your Name that You have revealed Yourself with, which is mentioned in Your Book (the Qur’ân), and that You have taught Your Messenger Muhammad (saw) with it as well as Your Prophet Ibrahim (as). I ask You by this true religion that was sent down from heaven; You alone we worship and from You alone we seek help.”

O Lord, I have come to You with a heavy heart, seeking refuge in You. I am in distress and fear because of an enemy who is pursuing me. O Lord, please deliver me from him and protect me from his evil eye. I place myself under Your protection and shelter; I rely on Your mercy and grace.

O Lord, send Your angels to guard me while I sleep tonight and protect me from all harm. O Lord, make my bed a place of safety where no evil can enter; keep my sleep peaceful so that no harm will come to me during this time when You are watching over me. O Lord, protect me against all evil thoughts and dreams which may come to me during the night or any other time today. Shelter me from the whisperings of Satan and keep far from me the evil presence of the jinns and shayateen who scheme against mankind in their sleep.

O Allah! Protect me with Your Name “Afw” which means: beyond all powers of imagination or comprehension; make it impossible for anyone else to harm me through his thoughts or actions; turn away any harm that may befall me; drive away any evil things that may affect my health, wealth or mind;

O Allah! I seek refuge in you from the evil of what I have done, and I repent to You. O Allah! Forgive me my sins that I may be rewarded with Paradise. O Allah! Protect me from the punishment of Hellfire and save me from its torment.

O Allah! I ask you to protect me from the sins that bring about regret, from the sin of backbiting, from the sin of slandering, from the sin of lying, from the sin of cheating, from the sin of drinking alcohol and smoking tobacco, and from all other types of sins. O Allah! Protect me against all forms of evil and harm that cause people to fall into Hellfire and save me from them. O Allah! Make me one who serves Your religion purely for Your sake alone so that You will be pleased with me in this life and in the Hereafter. O Allah! Make me one who seeks forgiveness frequently so that You will forgive my sins easily.

  1. The first thing you must do is pray 2 rakats nafl salah. Start with salam and recite Surah Ikhlas after that, then recite the following dua:

All praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds, the Beneficent, the Merciful. The Owner of Daybreak and Judgement Day. You alone we worship and You alone we ask for help. Guide us to the straight path – the path of those who have received your grace not those who have brought down Your wrath, nor of those who are astray.

  1. Then recite this dua with full concentration:

I seek refuge in Allah from Satan the accursed. So may Allah protect me from him as well as from his evil deeds and from all his wickedness and curse; which he has taken due to his disobedience of Allah’s Orders; because he was cast out from heaven; because he disobeyed Allah’s order not to bow down before Adam (peace be upon him). And when I am free from all these things, then I will say Du’a Ash-Shafa’ah: “O Allah! I seek refuge in You from all Evils and Harmful Things.”

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “The best prayer after the obligatory ones is the night prayer.”[1] The Prophet Muhammad encouraged us to pray at night because it is a time when we can focus on our Lord and ask Him for whatever we need. Before going to bed, take a few moments to remember Allah and ask Him for protection throughout the night.

Before performing this prayer, make sure you are in a clean state by taking a bath or doing wudu (ablution) if possible. Then stand up and face towards the Qibla (direction of Ka’ba). Make sure you are facing directly towards Ka’ba and not South East or North West as this is incorrect according to Islamic teachings. Perform two rakahs (units) of nawafil (supererogatory prayers) with recitation of Surah al-Fatiha followed by any other surah from Quran or Dua

Night Prayer is one of the most important ways of fulfilling this prophetic advice. It is also an excellent way for Muslims to get closer to Allah (God), as it is a time when people are less likely to be distracted by worldly matters.

Night Prayer is one of the best forms of worship. It is a time when Allah (God) accepts the dua and answers our prayers. Night prayer is performed after Isha prayer, before Fajr prayers.

The time for Night Prayer starts at Maghrib time until Fajr time. The most important part of night prayer is Tahajjud which is performed after Isha and before Fajr. When performing Tahajjud it should not be too late or too early. The best time to perform Tahajjud is just before Fajr, when you can still see a little bit of light in the sky before sunrise. There are three rakaats in Tahajjud which are performed like any other salat (prayer).

Tahajjud should be performed during Ramadhan but if you miss it then try to perform it as much as possible.

Wudu (ablution) is a must before performing the night prayers. If you have not performed wudu, you may perform tayammum (dry ablution) instead.

Recite the takbirat before each raka’ah.

In each raka’ah recite surah al-Fatihah and another surah or a few verses from the Qur’an.

After the final raka’ah, say “Allahu Akbar” and then recite one or more of these supplications:

Allahumma inni astagfiruka wa atubu ilayka, Wa ahyaana bika wa astaghfiruka wa atubu ilayka illa anta, Innaka antal ‘Azizul Ghafur. (O Allah! I seek Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance. I am sorry for what I have done that displeases You and I am firm on Your obedience.)

SubhanAllahi wal hamdu lillahi wa la ilaha illallahu wallahu akbar
