Introducing, “prayers to padre pio” – a new blog by Nick. He’s an Aussie dude (living in Perth) who’s passionate about his little corner of the web and wants to share it with more souls than just himself. But, who is Nick and why is he starting on a new platform? That’s what you’ll find out as you go through this blog.

To write a prayer that works you need a hero, an inspiration. A source of light and power. That’s why one of the very greatest sources of prayers is Sant’Anna Maria Goretti, the young Italian girl who was murdered in 1902 when she refused to let her attacker rape her. Her prayers have been treasured ever since she appeared to mediate the healing of a woman in 1963.

Prayer to Padre Pio

O my most beloved Jesus, who didst make use of such simple means to obtain eternal salvation, obtain also for me, through the intercession of Thy beloved servant, Padre Pio, that which I seek.

I pray Thee to grant me a true and sincere devotion toward Thee and toward all the saints; that I may be a good example in my words and actions; that I may be true to my duties as a son or daughter, husband or wife, father or mother, brother or sister, employer or employee; that I may never cause scandal by word or deed; that I may always be ready to help those who need help; that I may love Thee with my whole heart and serve Thee with all my strength. Amen.

Prayers To Padre Pio

O Holy Father Pio! We thank God for having given us this privilege of being able to come here today at this place where we can pray before you, before your miraculous image! We thank God for having given us this opportunity of feeling something of what others felt when they came here on pilgrimage during their lifetime and after your death! What words can we say that would be worthy enough to express our gratitude? We want only one thing: to love God with all our heart and soul and mind, as you did! Please teach us how to love Him better by giving us some spiritual advice or counsel; please tell

Padre Pio was born Francesco Forgione on May 25, 1887 in Pietrelcina, Italy. He became a Capuchin priest and took the name Pio from St. Francis Xavier as his religious name.

Padre Pio was known for his many stigmata that appeared on his body, including his hands and feet. He also suffered from other ailments such as arthritis, abdominal pain, bleeding from the nose and mouth and insomnia. The blood that flowed from his wounds was said to have had a sweet smell. Padre Pio would catch the blood in handkerchiefs so it could be used in various ways for healing purposes.

Padre Pio died on September 23, 1968 at age 81 after suffering several heart attacks before that time. His body remained incorrupt after death and when it was exhumed 50 years later in 2008, it still had the same appearance as when he died – no decay at all!

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

O St. Pio, I come to you today knowing that you are truly a miracle worker. As one who is close to Jesus, I ask that you would pray for these my intentions:

(State your intentions here)

I pray with the words of Pope John Paul II as I beg for your prayers on my behalf:

“Glorious, humble and beloved Padre Pio. Teach us, we pray, humility of heart, so that we may be counted among the little ones of the Gospel to whom the Father promised to reveal the mysteries of His Kingdom. Help us to pray without ceasing, certain that God knows what we need even before we ask Him.

“Obtain for us the eyes of faith that will help us recognize in the poor and suffering, the very face of Jesus.

“Sustain us in the hour of trouble and trial and, if we fall, let us experience the joy of the sacrament of forgiveness. Grant us your tender devotion to Mary, mother of Jesus and our Mother.

“Accompany us on our earthly pilgrimage toward the blessed Homeland, where we too, hope to arrive to contemplate forever the Glory of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.”

Amen

In closing, St. Pio, we pray the prayer you composed for Confidence and Trust in God’s Mercy:

“O Lord, we ask for a boundless confidence and trust in Your divine mercy, and the courage to accept the crosses and sufferings which bring immense goodness to our souls and that of Your Church.

Help us to love You with a pure and contrite heart, and to humble ourselves beneath Your cross, as we climb the mountain of holiness, carrying our cross that leads to heavenly glory.

May we receive You with great faith and love in Holy Communion, and allow You to act in us as You desire for your greater glory.

O Jesus, most adorable Heart and eternal fountain of Divine Love, may our prayer find favor before the Divine Majesty of Your heavenly Father.”

Amen.

All glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end.

Stay With Me, Lord Prayer by Padre Pio

All glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end.

St. Padre Pio, Pray for us!

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Stay with me, Lord, for it is necessary to have Thee present so that I do not forget Thee. Thou knowest how easily I abandon Thee.

Stay with me, Lord, because I am weak, and I need Thy strength that I may not fall so often.

Stay with me, Lord, for Thou art my light, and without Thee I am in darkness.

Stay with me, Lord, to show me Thy will.

Stay with me, Lord, so that I hear Thy voice and follow Thee.

Stay with me, Lord, for I desire to love Thee very much and to be in Thy company always.

Stay with me, Lord, if Thou wisheth me to be faithful to Thee.

Stay with me, Lord, for as poor as my soul is I want it to be a place of consolation for Thee, a nest of love.

Stay with me, Jesus, for it is getting late and the day is coming to a close, and life passes; death, judgment, eternity approaches. It is necessary to renew my strength, so that I will not stop along the way and for that, I need Thee. It is getting late and death approaches, I fear the darkness, the temptations, the dryness, the cross, the sorrows. O how I need Thee, my Jesus, in this night of exile!

Stay with me tonight, Jesus, in life with all it’s dangers. I need Thee.

Let me recognize Thee as Thy disciples did at the breaking of the bread, so that the Eucharistic Communion be the Light which disperses the darkness, the force which sustains me, the unique joy of my heart.

Stay with me, Lord, because at the hour of my death, I want to remain united to Thee, if not by communion, at least by grace and love.

Stay with me, Jesus, I do not ask for Divine consolation, because I do not merit it, but the gift of Thy Presence, oh yes, I ask this of Thee!

Stay with me, Lord, for it is Thou alone I look for, Thy Love, Thy Grace, Thy Will, Thy Heart, Thy Spirit because I love Thee and ask no other reward but to love Thee more and more.

With a firm love, I will love Thee with all my heart while on earth and continue to love Thee perfectly during all eternity. Amen
