Intercessory Prayer For Family

Intercessory prayer is the ancient practice of praying on behalf of another. Today, intercessory prayer is still practiced in many religious faiths. It is often defined as a form of prayer or request made to God on behalf of another person. The basic concept within most religions is that when praying for others, the faith these prayers are answered may be stronger because of a loved one’s intercession.

Intercessory prayer is often supported by scriptures like  1 Timothy 2:1-4 : “Therefore I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people  for kings and all who are in high positions…” (NIV) This verse from 1 Timothy emphasizes the importance of not just praying for yourself, but for your whole family. But what good is prayer if it can’t be proven?

Intercessory prayer, also known as communal prayer, is the participation in prayer by one or more persons on behalf of another or others for any spiritual purpose. Whether it’s for a family member, friend or stranger, this blog will provide insight into intercessory prayer.

Intercessory Prayer For Family

Intercessory prayer for family and friends is a powerful way to ask God to intervene in the lives of those you love. When you pray for someone else, it helps you to reflect on the needs, concerns and dreams of that person.

Intercessory prayer is one of the most effective ways to bring about change in your life or in the lives of others. Intercession is simply asking God to intervene and make a difference.

The Bible tells us that we can pray for anything we want (1 John 5:14-15). We are encouraged to pray for each other, for our families, friends and even enemies!

Here are some specific ways you can intercede for others:

Family members: Pray for your parents, grandparents or other family members who have passed away or are struggling with health problems. Ask God to give them peace and comfort as they face challenges in their lives.

Friends: Pray for your friends who are going through difficult times such as unemployment or marital problems; this will help take some of the weight off their shoulders so they can focus on healing instead of worry. You can also intercede for those who need guidance or encouragement during difficult situations such as job interviews or tough tests at school.

Intercessory prayer is the act of praying for others. It is a form of petitionary prayer, and, like all petitionary prayer, it is a means of worship.

Intercessory prayer can take many forms. It may be as formal as a liturgy, or it may be as informal as an individual praying for another person. Intercessory prayer can be directed towards any worthy recipient: God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, angels, saints (including the Blessed Virgin Mary), or even other people living or dead.

In Christianity, intercessory prayer was practiced very early in the life of the Church. It was recognized that since God knew what we needed before we asked Him (Matthew 6:8), it would be appropriate to ask others to pray for us (1 Timothy 2:1–3). This led to various traditions such as the practice of requesting prayers from others on behalf of those who are sick or dying.[1]

The earliest references to intercessory prayer in Christianity are found in the letters attributed to Ignatius of Antioch and Polycarp of Smyrna.[2] Ignatian letters dating from around 110 AD contain exhortations asking Christians not to neglect fellowship with one another but rather

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come to you today with a heart of gratitude and praise. We thank you for your blessings and we praise you for the many things that have been accomplished through your grace. We pray that you would continue to bless us and guide us in our daily lives.

Lord, we know that you are always with us and never leave us alone. We are grateful for this knowledge and we are confident that you will hear our prayers today. Lord, we ask that you keep all of our family members safe from harm and danger. Help them to be healthy, happy, successful and prosperous in their personal lives as well as their career lives. Please protect them from any harm or danger that may come their way. Guide them through life’s journey, keeping them on the right path at all times. We pray that they would always be kept safe from any natural disasters such as floods or earthquakes etc…

Lord please help each member of our family who is going through difficult times right now so they can overcome these obstacles with ease and peace of mind. Please give each person strength during this troubling time so they can find happiness again as soon as possible!

We pray for each

  1. Saint Joseph, patron of families, intercede for us.
  2. Holy Mother Mary, pray for us.
  3. Saint Francis of Assisi, pray for us.
  4. Saint Thérèse of Lisieux, pray for us.
  5. Saint Padre Pio, pray for us.
  6. Saint Anthony of Padua, pray for us.
  7. Saint Bernadette Soubirous, pray for us.

I come to you today to ask that you pray for my family. My husband and I have been married for 10 years. We have three children, two boys and a girl. Our 9 year old is autistic and our son is 7 months old. Our daughter is 3 years old. My husband works full time during the week and comes home on the weekends to help me take care of the children. He does whatever he can to help me out with them but it’s hard for him because he doesn’t know what to do with an autistic child or how to help him with his anxiety issues from being in public places.

This week has been very difficult for us as a family because my son has been having major anxiety attacks when we go out in public or if there are too many people around him at one time, it makes him very upset which makes me upset too because I don’t know what to do with him when this happens! It hurts so bad seeing him like this, especially when he’s screaming and crying at the top of his lungs! It breaks my heart every single time!

My husband works full time during the week so he isn’t able to be there with me while these things occur but thankfully he’s home

The last few weeks have been a whirlwind for our family. My husband, who works in IT, has been out of work for over a month now. We can’t afford to pay our mortgage anymore and will be losing our home soon. Then this weekend, my daughter was diagnosed with diabetes, which means she’ll have to have insulin shots every day and all sorts of other medical bills that we can’t afford.

So I’m asking all of you to join me in prayer for my family. We need your help right now so that we can get back on our feet and not lose everything we’ve worked so hard for. Please pray that my husband finds a new job quickly—he needs it!

It’s time to take action! There’s no time to waste.

You need to know that you have the power to change things in your life. You can do it, because you are the only one who can.

In fact, God has given YOU the power of prayer. And when you pray, you partner with God on a level that is beyond human comprehension. The Bible tells us that God hears our prayers and answers them (Psalm 65:2). So if God is listening and will respond, why aren’t all of our prayers answered?

The answer is simple: we don’t know how to pray properly. We have been taught that all you have to do is ask and receive… but that isn’t true! If it were that easy, everyone would be rich and happy! You see, there IS a science behind prayer—and it works!

You will need:

The Bible, a candle, and something to light the candle with.

The person who is leading the prayer should start by saying: “Lord God, we are assembled here today because we know that you love us and want to protect us. We thank you that you are with us always, but especially at this time of prayer. Please help us by giving us wisdom as we seek your protection for ourselves and our families.”

Then everyone in the group should say together: “In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

Prayer is the most powerful tool in our spiritual arsenal, but it’s also one of the most misunderstood. We need to know how to pray, what to pray and what not to pray.

Here are some important things to remember when praying for your family:

Prayer is not a magic wand that will solve all of your problems. But it does open up the door for God to help you through your troubles. So pray for wisdom, strength and courage as well as protection for yourself or your loved ones.

Praying for someone else is always better than praying for yourself (Matthew 6:19-20). You can’t lose when you’re praying for others!

  1. Psalm 91:4,5
  2. And I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
  3. For I have desired it, and my soul has sought it out; that I may sit in the house of God, and contemplate his beauty.

Prayer is a powerful tool that can be used to protect your family and guide them to the right path. Prayer is also a way of communicating with God, and as such, it is one of the most effective means of developing a closer relationship with Him.

Prayer is an important part of Christianity. It has been practiced since the inception of this religion. However, not many people know how to pray effectively or which prayers are effective for specific purposes. Here are some prayers that will help you protect your family from all forms of negative energy:

Prayer for protection against evil spirits

“In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.”

This prayer has been used by Christians for centuries to ward off evil spirits and other forms of negativity. It protects against all forms of evil including natural disasters like hurricanes and earthquakes as well as man-made disasters like wars. It also protects you from physical attacks such as robberies and kidnappings. You can recite this prayer after every meal or before going to bed at night until it becomes second nature for you.

Prayer for protection against witchcraft attacks

“I take authority over all powers of darkness in Jesus’ name, amen.”

This prayer does not only protect you from witchcraft attacks but also

  1. Psalm 91
  2. Psalm 124
  3. Psalm 128
  4. Psalm 139:1-18
  5. Ephesians 6:10-18

Let me pray the prayer of protection for you and your family.

Let me pray the prayer of protection for you and your family.

First let’s pray that we receive wisdom in all areas of life, spiritual and secular. Pray that we would have the wisdom and discernment necessary to make wise choices in our lives. Pray that we’d be able to see through deception and recognize error, even when it comes from someone who appears trustworthy or reputable. Divine guidance is essential if we are going to live with purpose and direction, so this is a very important point!

Let us also pray for deliverance from temptation, especially those things which are contrary to God’s will for us or may be harmful to our health or well-being. We need God’s grace at every moment of our lives because there will always be something tempting us away from Him—what matters most is whether we choose Him over everything else!

With the blood of Jesus, I cover my dwelling place and every room in my house.

Dear Lord, thank You for being with me in this time of need. I come to You today with a request for the protection and guidance of my family. Please cover us with Your blood and surround us with Your love.

Dear Father,

I ask that You would pour out your grace upon my family and protect them from any harm. Help me to be a good example for them as they grow up in this world full of sin and evil desires. Almighty God, please help my spouse/partner; bless him/her with wisdom, strength and courage during these difficult times. Enable her/him to think more clearly so he/she can make wise decisions about how we should handle our finances as well as other aspects of life such as managing our stress levels or finding joy even amidst trials (like when one member has cancer).

Lord God Almighty! I pray that You would give my children godly wisdom so they might know what is right when faced with difficult situations like peer pressure or peer group pressure at school which could lead them astray if not guided properly by parents who are living godly lives themselves.”

Intercessory Prayer For Family And Friends

Prayers for your family and friends

The Lord has put us here to love each other. Let us pray for one another.

We pray for our families and friends, that they may be kept from harm and in good health. We pray for their salvation and peace of mind. We pray that they may receive all the blessings God has for them.

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and give you His peace. Amen.

The best intercessory prayers are always for family and friends.

When someone we love is in need, we want to do all that we can to help them. Prayer can be an important part of that process, but it’s not the only part. We also need to remember that our prayer can help us as much as it helps others.

The Bible tells us that God wants us to pray for one another (James 5:16). We can pray for people who are sick or whose marriages are struggling; we can pray for lost loved ones and those who are hurting spiritually or emotionally; but most of all, we should pray for our families and friends.

Prayer does not always result in immediate healing, but it does have a significant effect on our lives and the lives of others. Prayer has the power to change hearts and minds, even if only in small ways. When someone prays for you, it gives them hope that things will work out well in your life. It also reminds you that there are people out there who care about you — even when they’re not physically present with you at the time.

Asking God to help us to be a good example for our family and friends is a powerful prayer. I believe that this is one of the most important things we can do for them, especially when they are going through a difficult time.

We can ask God to give us opportunities to share the Gospel with them. We can pray for healing and help in knowing how to talk about spiritual things without offending them. We can also pray that they would come back into relationship with Jesus so that they will have peace and happiness in their lives.

As you pray for others, let your heart go out to those around you who may be struggling with their faith or who are hurting in some way. You may not know what else to say or do for them but prayer is always helpful!

Intercessory prayer is a very special way of praying for others. It’s praying for someone else, for his or her needs, for their intentions. It’s simply putting yourself in God’s place and asking Him to help this person.

Dear Father,

I ask that you would soften their hearts and help them to see things through the lens of your word. Please give them strength in their trials and comfort in their sorrows.

Lord, please heal any wounds that have been inflicted upon them by others. May they find peace and joy as they experience your love and grace.

Thank you Lord for all that you have done, are doing, and will do! In Jesus name I pray, Amen

Dear Lord, thank you for the blessings of food on our table and clothes on our back.

We know that You are a good God who loves us, provides for us, and protects us. We are so thankful for these things!

We pray that You will open doors for us to share the gospel with others who do not know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. In Jesus’ name we pray…

Father in heaven, You are God, You give us power and strength.

In Jesus name, I pray that you find all your financial issues resolved today! God is good! Amen!

In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray for your families. Lord Jesus, please protect them from any harm and help them to get a job or increase their income by Divine intervention.

Please help them to be able to pay off their debts so that they can live peacefully in this world. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior Amen (I pray for my family).

Lord Jesus Christ, who said to Your Apostles “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you,” regard not my sins but the faith of Your Church, and deign to grant it peace and unity according to Your will. Who live and reign, one God forever and ever.” – Pray that Holy Spirit watch over your families! In Jesus name! Amen!

When you pray, God is always listening. He will always answer your prayers, no matter how big or small they are. You can rely on this truth: God loves you and will never abandon you. He knows all about you and has seen all of your mistakes, but has also seen the good in your life as well. When we accept Christ into our lives, we become new people who live differently than before!

  • God is on your side – His love for us is greater than any obstacle that may come our way
  • God will protect us – even when others try to bring harm upon us because they don’t understand what it means to be part of His family
  • God will help us – when we need Him most His power overcomes anything that comes against us! There isn’t anything too difficult that He cannot handle!! Do not be afraid of anything when it comes down between choosing what’s right versus wrong because if there was ever a time where something needed done correctly then now would definitely be one those times!!
