Prayer To Catch Fish

Prayer is an amazing communication tool to use when we want to connect with our Source. Thanks to ThetaHealing I have learned a great deal about Prayer and The Universal Laws of the Universe. These 2 teachings have helped me to heal my body, mind, soul, emotions and spirit and have helped me to improve my connection with Source. Casting a line into the water is equivalent to our prayers. When we see the line moving with yet another fish on the end…it’s time to start praying!

I am always amazed at how rude my neighbor is. But it reminded me of what one of the other speakers at the fishing training conference had said, about how we would get ridiculed, mocked, and persecuted for being a fisherman. He even said that we might even make our wives and kids hate us, but that is part of the cost of being a fisherman. But still, I didn’t really want my neighbor to call the cops. Talked about; Fisherman’s prayer for safety, Dead fish prayer.

Prayer To Catch Fish 07-31-2017 Prayer is extremely important regardless of the religion which you follow. There are countless examples through history which testify the power of prayer. There are numerous instances where individuals have asked for the help of God in order to get things done. Prayer to catch fish is a popular theme among lovers of fishing. Skeptics might laugh at it, but this doesn’t mean that it isn’t true. The main question is if there is any real importance despite whether or not you believe in this whole phenomenon or not.

Prayer To Catch Fish

Lord, my dear Lord,

I pray that you will help me to catch fish.

I know that I am not the best fisherman, but I still want to learn how to be better. Therefore, I ask you to help me. Thank you!

At the Fishing Training Conference, I heard one speaker say that the key to catching fish is to faithfully praying the fishing prayer. We taught a whole seminar on the history of the fishing prayer and the amazing catches of fish that some fisherman had after praying this prayer. The prayer is kind of written in an archaic style, so he even went through the prayer line by line to teach us what the words meant. As he did so, I could sense the power of this simple prayer, and made the commitment to memorize it and pray it several times a day.

Here is the Fishing Prayer:

Our Father above the water,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy rain will come, thy rivers run,
On earth as they do in heaven.
Give us this day our daily fish,
And forgive our excess limit,
As we forgive those who set the limit.
Lead us not into rough water;
Deliver us at the end of season.
Yours is the river, the ocean, and the fishing glory
Forever and ever, Amen.

The man recommended that we pray this prayer at least once a day, but he said that those fishermen who had the most success prayed it at least three times a day. So I have begun to recite this prayer at every meal. I even go the extra mile and recite it in the morning when I wake up and at night before I go to bed. So since I am praying it five times a day, I am almost guaranteed to become the greatest fisherman the world has ever seen. I am sure that by this time next year, when the man gets up to teach all the amateur fisherman who have never caught a fish about the miracle-working wonders of this prayer, he will have some stories to tell them about me, and how I prayed five times a day, and as a result, caught the biggest fish the world and the most fish all in one day.

prayer_hands_goldJust dreaming about how great of a fisherman I was going to become made me want to tell my neighbor. But I realized I couldn’t just go tell him that I was a great fisherman. I had to show him. So I decided to start saying the early morning fisherman prayer out in my fishing boat. I got up just before dawn and went outside and climbed into the bow of the boat. Then, with my arms raised to the Great Fishing Father in the sky, I shouted the prayer at the top of my voice.

The problem was that the prayer is kind of short. I got all the way through it, and I don’t think my neighbor even heard my prayer. So I decided to pray it again, even louder this time. But he still didn’t appear. I ended up praying that prayer eight times before he finally came outside. His hair was a mess, and he was only wearing boxer shorts and a t-shirt. He clearly had no sense of shame.

He looked at me quizzically, and then looked up into the sky.

“What’s all the shouting about?” he said, rudely interrupting my prayer. “My wife and I were trying to sleep, and you woke us up.”

“I was praying, of course,” I responded scornfully. What kind of heathen doesn’t recognize prayer when he hears it? “Praying early in the morning is one reason I am the greatest fisherman in the world. I pray five times a day.”

“I don’t know if shouting a prayer over and over at dawn makes you the greatest fisherman in the world, but it certainly makes you the worst neighbor. If you keep this up, I am going to have to call the cops. I started working the late shift down at the factory, and I cannot get woken up at dawn by your shouting.”

Dead Fish Prayer

The first time I saw a dead fish was at a funeral. It was a very hot day, and the church was packed. The casket was at the front of the church, and everyone was sitting on the left side of it. As we were waiting for the service to begin, I noticed that there were some people sitting in pews on the right side of the casket. They were wearing white gloves and they were moving around something that looked like a large piece of cloth.

One of these people walked by me and said, “Excuse me.” She had on a white gown and she looked very important. She had an air about her as if she were doing something very important. I asked her what she was doing, but she just smiled at me and kept going down to where the other people were standing over whatever it was they were working on.

After awhile, one of these men came up to me and introduced himself as Father O’Leary. He told me that they were preparing my grandfather’s body before they put him in his casket so he could be buried later that day or early tomorrow morning depending.

“Fine,” I said. “I’ll pray a little quieter from now on. But you really shouldn’t be sleeping this late in the day, anyway. The early bird gets the worm, you know.”

To be honest, I had trouble getting up that early in the morning anyway, and was never able to do it regularly again. But I did make sure that every time my neighbor was out in his lawn or driveway during the daytime, I got up into my boat and raised my arms to heaven and shouted my prayer once to twice to the fishing father. I wanted to remind my neighbor that I was the greatest fisherman in the world, and though he may infringe on my right to pray early in the morning, he couldn’t stop me from praying during the day.

God give me strength to catch a fish,

So big that even I,

When telling of it afterwards,

Have no need to lie.

I pray that I may live to fish

Until my dying day.

And when it comes to my last cast,

I then most humbly pray:

When in the Lord’s great landing net

And peacefully asleep

That in His mercy I be judged

Big enough to keep!

Our Father above the water,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy rain will come, thy rivers run,
On earth as they do in heaven.
Give us this day our daily fish,
And forgive our excess limit,
As we forgive those who set the limit.
Lead us not into rough water;
Deliver us at the end of season.
Yours is the river, the ocean, and the fishing glory
Forever and ever, Amen.

God grant me a little more time

To pick up my rod, and cast my line.

Work and worry disappear

When I pick up my fishing gear.

With boat on trailer, I will go

Anywhere the fishing’s not too slow.

Work just doesn’t seem so fine

When I see what’s at the end of my fishing line.

When I am feeble, old and grey

Please don’t take my pole away.

When the Pearly Gates open wide

Please find this old fisherman, one good lake inside!

O God, Who brought our fathers through the Red Sea and carried them safely through the deep as they sang praises of Thy name, we humbly beseech Thee to guard Thy servants aboard ship, and having repelled all adversities, bring them to the desired port after a calm voyage. Through ouR Lord, Jesus Christ, Thy Son, Who livest and reigneth with Thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, world without end.
Amen.

May God bless each and every fisher with an abundance of that gorgeous Louisiana gold and give them the wisdom and knowledge to obtain it. I pray that the weather and water conditions are just right. God we ask for the protection of your angels to watch and keep our fishers safe. God grant them mercy and grace when it comes to things breaking down and nets not working. May the fishermen be blessed with enough ice to hold their catches with their ice holes loaded down. God I pray this would be one of their better seasons. I pray for each and every family in this industry that they would be blessed beyond our belief. In Jesus’ precious name we ask these things. And every says.AMEN!!

Fisherman’s Prayer For Safety

Lord, I ask you to protect me and my family from the dangers of the sea.

Bird’s prayer for protection:

Lord, I ask you to protect me and my family from the dangers of the air.

Turtle’s prayer for protection:

Lord, I ask you to protect me and my family from the dangers of land.

Dead fish prayer:

Dear Lord, thank you for this wonderful day that I have been given. Thank you for all the blessings that have come my way. And thank you for helping me to live another day in your world! Amen

O God, Father and Lord of the universe,

We praise and bless you for having created man and woman, calling them to collaborate in the work of Creation through their labour. Today, World Fisheries Day, we humbly ask you to bless and protect all those involved in the production, processing, distribution and trade of fish, which contributes to food security, economic growth and poverty reduction. As your children, with all confidence we ask you to stop the physical and verbal abuse and the indiscriminate exploitation of fishermen, which includes countless cases of forced labour, human trafficking and disappearances at sea. Free us from these evils that pollute the beauty of life, sea and work, your precious gifts which must be watched over with great care.

O Jesus Christ, our Lord,

urge your Church to listen to fishermen’s cries of anguish, who see their human rights and fundamental freedoms trampled underfoot, and to proclaim with prophetic audacity the need for these to be respected and observed. With our hearts in our hands, we ask you to enlighten the minds of the world’s leaders, so that they may ratify the international instruments adopted and approved by the member nations of the specialised agencies of the United Nations in order to be able to radically change the lives of workers in the fishing sector and their families and the environmental state of fish stocks. With your passion, death and resurrection, it is you who freed us from the slavery of sin and death, please ensure that no one is kept in a state of slavery or servitude any longer. Give every person the right to work, to the free choice of employment, to just and satisfactory working conditions and to protection against unemployment. Ensure that every person, without discrimination, has the right to equal pay for equal work, to fair and satisfactory remuneration which ensures s/he and their family a life guaranteeing their human dignity, supplemented, if necessary, by other means of social protection. Grant that every person has the right to create and join trade unions for the defence of his or her own interests and that these fundamental human rights of fishermen are always safeguarded. For all this we pray to you, Lord!

Holy Spirit, gliding over the seas,

convert the hearts and minds of that small element of the fishing industry that continues to be pitiless and to put profit before people. Remind them that people come before profit and that work gives dignity to the person.

Catholic prayer to catch fish

Father, we ask you to bless this boat and the men who sail in it. Let your holy spirit rest upon these waters and wash away our sins. We pray that you will guide us on our journey and keep us safe from harm.

We ask that you bless the fish that swim in these waters, so that they may be caught and brought safely to land. Grant them to us, O Lord, that we may feed our families with their meat and be grateful for them.

Bless all those who are part of this expedition, especially [person]. Make them strong and courageous so that they may serve your will with faithfulness and devotion. May they always remember the words of Jesus: “The net will hold much more if you open it widely.” In the name of Christ our Lord, Amen

O Blessed Virgin Mary, Star of the Sea,

help us work together to stop human trafficking and forced labour at sea, to improve working conditions and safety and to combat illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing, thus creating a fisheries sector that is socially, environmentally and commercially sustainable.

Father, through your Son Jesus Christ, at the helm of Peter’s vessel, and with the help of the Holy Spirit, lead us through difficulties and hardships to the Heavenly Port.

All praise, glory and honour be to you now and forever and ever.

Amen. Hallelujah!
